This significant new book has already received wide critical acclaim in its presentation of the personal and professional experiences of 16 contributing experts in medicine, psychology, gerontology, numerous psychotherapy modalities and several spiritual disciplines.

The book brings a down-to-earth presence to topics including aging alone—and with uncertain health care—neurocognition, physical illness, ethical wills, caregiving, and money—and the feeling of impermanence.

The International Institute for Humanistic Studies (I.I.H.S.) is an educational organization dedicated to helping build a world community through maximizing the contribution of each person. This vision is inspired by hope, compassion, courage, resilience, and tolerance in each human. Our vision embraces the potential of humanity and we approach this vision by touching the mind and heart of the world community through in-depth communication, a process of communication taught by this institute. Our vision is served through training programs that apply existential-humanistic psychology and psychotherapy to a wide range of situations.
